Remote Quality Assurance
Managing regulated products requires specialized knowledge, experience, and qualifications, and quality assurance is a requirement for businesses dealing with food, cosmetic, and health products. A Quality Assurance Person (QAP) ensures the quality of a product at all stages, from raw materials through to the packaged finished product. Not only is the QAP involved in confirming product quality prior to product release, they are also responsible to ensure the quality of the product after it has hit the shelves.
A QAP must have intricate knowledge of GMPs, precise attention to detail, and a keen sense of accountability. Finding and retaining a qualified QAP for on-site oversight of quality assurance is challenging for many companies, and NHP Consulting can bridge this gap on behalf of our clients. We offer our clients remote quality assurance services, in which we fulfill QA responsibilities from off-site.
For example, we offer remote product release in which we review health product test results against approved finished product specifications, then notify clients when the product has passed its specifications and can be released for sale. On the other side, we can assist when a product has an issue that prevents release or when a complaint is received from a consumer by initiating and documenting the quality investigation, determining the cause of the concern and if it needs to be reported to the regulator, then recommending corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
On a more fundamental operations level, we can review records, including cleaning logs and environmental monitoring documents to ensure record-keeping practices fulfill requirements, and create customized SOPs that ensure an effective quality system from the ground up.
